Within the M25, and a stones throw from the River Thames, Halliford offers the angler 4 spring fed lakes, all set in 40 acres of the Surrey countryside.
The fishery has a park like feel to it, with
a good and healthy balance between
manicured and wild areas. The lakes
support an abundance of aquatic life,
from buzzers through to dragonflies, and
a myriad terrestrials from the trees and
grass surrounding the water.
A former gravel pit, Halliford was established in 1986 as a single large
lake, providing the game angler with the traditional “put and take” fishery.
During the 90’s, the owners carried out some large scale and sympathetic
landscaping, and transformed the site into what we see today. Through time and listening to their anglers, and after the transformation, the “catch and release” policy was adopted, and is still in practise today.
After a good day’s sport on the water, the onsite restaurant of Halliford Mere Lakes and Pavilion, with it's bar and a la carte restaurant, provides a welcome rest in comfortable surroundings.
